Banjo Haiku is simply a collection of some of my favorite tunes as I play them at home for my own enjoyment. Each tune, like the Haiku poem, is its own little story, dance or prayer. What did people do in the Appalachian Mountains for musical relaxation before new age recordings came out? They played tunes like these on old-time banjo. I’ve assimilated these tunes anytime between 1975 and 1991, copying no particular style, but attentively listening to them all. –Cathy Fink
