Hank Williams was a consummate and prolific songwriter, with hits that included “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Lovesick Blues,” and “Jambalaya.” He died at the age of 29, on New Year’s Day in 1953, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy of songs and performances. Hank Williams’ brief career epitomized the country song.
