An introduction to Maybelle Carter’s iconic style that incorporates simultaneous lead an rhythm with her “Carter Scratch.”

We will learn the basic Carter Scratch with thumb pick and index fingers of right hand, or you can play with a flat pick. Then we’ll approach Maybelle’s accessible method of playing lead and rhythm at the same time on the infamous “Wildwood Flower.”

Requirement: Best suited for guitarists who can fluidly change between C-F-G and G-C-D, regardless of right hand style.
