Do You Use Music For Transitions With Baby?
Babies and young children do better when there are routines and structure to their day. They feel safe when life is predictable. However, young children can have trouble ending a task they are enjoying (it’s hard to stop playing to clean up before dinner). Songs are a great way to help children transition to the next activity. Singing the same good night song to baby every night teaches them that bedtime is approaching and it’s time to calm down. Similarly, an energetic clean up song can help a toddler transition from
play to clean up mode seamlessly.

Please be sure to comment and share your experiences with using music to transition with YOUR baby.
